Your roots are where you live your mind behind
This blog post was inspired by a chain of thoughts I had some time ago. I was observing my life and noticing what had changed in me—how I now experience the world and my life. Who I truly was, after many, many layers had been shed and a wider understanding, or even complete remembering, had arrived.
You see, I began to observe the events and thoughts that had been leading me in an unwanted direction.
When something becomes a “must-do,” it starts to feel difficult. Soon you find yourself pushing towards that thing and wondering why it’s still so freaking hard. Yet you keep trying, because someone “wiser” told you that’s how it should be done. That’s how you succeed in this or that. And so the cycle begins. You get more lost and miserable, trying to function in the “right” way.
Let me tell you a short story to paint the picture of what I’m talking about:
I’ve noticed that, especially among spiritual people it’s often popular to call people down from the heights and root them in the human experience. To act like a “proper human being,” because that’s who we are in this life. As if there’s something wrong with flying high and staying connected to the upper realms. (Yeah, yeah, I get it... I’ve been there too.)
There are teaching about the importance of rooting oneself and truly embodying the spirit. And that’s fine. Totally valid. But—there’s a “but.” And that “but” might be a problem for many. Because when embodiment and rooting yourself over and over again just don’t seem to work, it can start to feel like you’re forcing yourself into yet another mold.
If you are one with all, one awareness, then you don’t need to keep rooting yourself again and again. You’re already rooted—if that’s how you define connection to Earth. What we often forget is that rules are what make people follow, and anyone who wants to lead often has an agenda.
(BTW, here's my question: how can we fully embody the spirit, when spirit is limitless—formless energy? You can't force something formless into form.)
Sure, if you want to visualize rooting your body from time to time, that’s completely okay and great fun. But don’t force it. Because as a wider awareness, as part of all that is, you’ll see that you're already doing all those things naturally. I hope this makes sense, even though I feel like I’m repeating myself here... haha.
Here’s an example. About 20 years ago, I started to re-awaken. Slowly, year by year, I began to remember what unity means. What it means to be conscious. I eventually remembered who I was—or more accurately, I remembered the consciousness I am.
So, trying to live life as a “proper,” productive, fear-driven human being became more and more difficult. When I tried to function the way a human doing does, to live how society tells us to, I got lost. Things started heading in an unwanted direction. At my worst, I was miserable. I didn’t know who I was anymore. I was afraid to express myself freely because there were so many people—advisors, relatives—even I myself, trying to fit me into some specific shape.
I TRIED TO FIT MYSELF INTO ONE SHAPE!
As a shapeshifter, I can easily adapt—but that form quickly began to feel like a prison.
There were so many rules and expectations I had to follow, I nearly exploded. Eventually, I liberated myself from all of it—including the “you must root yourself” rule—and let eternity flow through me once again. That’s when I understood on an even deeper level what it truly means to be consciousness living through a human vehicle. What it means to live naturally, in connection with all that is.
This is what I wish more people would understand—especially those who already know they are more than the lines of their physical body. There are as many rules as there are teachers. And every teacher is somewhere on their own journey—and teaches from that point. I’ve had teachers and mentors too, and yes, it’s important to study, to learn, to listen. But if something feels hard and just doesn’t work—if it feels forced, artificial, or commercial—then please, always ask yourself:
“Is this for me? Is this wisdom really meant for me?
Or is this, once again, trying to squeeze me into some predefined context?”
And remember: no amount of followers or beautiful visuals equals wisdom. That’s just followers, visuals, and often, artificial intelligence telling us how to express things to grab people’s attention on social media.
Always listen, read, and feel. How does it make you feel?
Alright? And always, always listen to your gut.
(The inner voice—I’m not talking about your mind here.)
As you begin to free yourself from these beliefs, you start to understand your true expanse and limitless potential. You realize you are already in connection with all there is, always.
As you liberate yourself, life becomes easier and lighter. You begin to discover more effortless ways of being—just by shifting perspective and choosing joy.
Why wouldn’t someone want to live from joy?
Sure, there might still be challenges—this human life brings us those, for learning. But you’ll understand, as you learn to observe your thoughts and emotions, that things get easier. You don’t have to keep following the old patterns.
You’re not in that box anymore.
That’s all.
